Harrybilt Engineering is celebrating the completion of their 300th Platypus; a Standard Blade Platypus heading to a customer in Western Australia. This particular Platypus has been painted blue instead of our standard yellow due to customer requirements.
This Rail Maintenance Attachment has evolved into many variations since the first Platypus in 2007. These include the Mini Rubber Jaw Platypus, Standard Blade with Clip Pusher and Grab, Wide Blade 250 Cut Out Clip Pusher and Grab and the Large Platypus with 2750 Wide Blade.
The team look forward to seeing what the next 300 Platypus' look like with the help of customer feedback and our in house engineering team.
At the end of last week, we loaded up a Shipping Container headed to Boss Attachments in New Zealand with twenty Fall Arrest Rolling Rail Anchors, a Mini Bullant, Adjustable Fork Grab, Stingray Ballast Sweeper, two Rail Threaders and two 4m Narrow Trailers. We are continuing our partnership with Boss Attachments in 2023 as we work together to provide customers with permanent stock levels of Rail Maintenance Equipment in New Zealand.
